A cybersecurity company that is on the employee's side.
Everyone in this market builds for the security department. We build for the person who has to sit through the training, because they are the one who decides whether any of it sticks.
Why we exist
Three of us started CyberCoach after years of watching companies buy training their own people more-or-less quietly hated: fake scam emails sent without warning, a record of who fell for it, a risk score at the end of it. It does not work, and the evidence says so. What does work is coaching people in a way they are willing to come back to. That is the whole company, and it shows up in three commitments we do not treat as negotiable.
- We never trick the people we train. Practice is announced, in a short chat, in the app they already have open.
- Employees cannot be monitored through us. Only completion is recorded, never how someone answered.
- The person being trained is our customer. They choose their path and difficulty, and rate every session. That average stays above 4 out of 5.
How we work
Building a security product that works for everyone takes a team that looks like everyone.
We are an international team across Europe, we hire outside the profile this industry usually hires for, and we work a four-day week. Plenty of ways to go still, and we would rather say so than pretend otherwise.
Founders
Maria Bique (CEO), Teemu Turunen (Chief Solutions Officer) and Mikko Toivanen (CTO), backed by Butterfly Ventures, Futurice and Villagecape Ventures. The company is consolidating under the CyberCoach name; older documents may still say Cult Security.
